Americanized: Rebel Without a Green Card
by Sara Saedi

Picture
Thirteen-year-old straight-A student Sara Saedi is Iranian-American and was only two when her parents fled from Iran. After her sister is unable to apply for a job because she doesn’t have a SSN, Sara finds out that she is undocumented and breaking the law simply by living in the US. As fear of deportation keeps her up at night, she seeks to get a green card, all the while worrying about the typical teen problems of  clear skin, having a car, and having a boyfriend.
